Karin Winter
I was born and raised in The Netherlands. Born in Geleen, raised in Brunssum. A small town in the southern part of Limburg. I lived a stone's throw away from Belgium and Germany and a little town called Vaals. Home of The Vaalserberg. This is a hill with a height of 322.4 meters. Let me do the math for you: this is 1058 feet. With this dazzling height it is easily the highest point in The Netherlands. The Dutch call the hills of Southern Limburg: "Mountains". After moving to Colorado I quickly realized: “We were wrong!”
Fun fact: "Did you know that 30% of The Netherlands is actually below sea level? Below!!”
I have been practicing yoga since 2014. I completed my 200 hour Teacher training in May of 2017. I studied Integrated Vinyasa™ through The Colorado School of Yoga, an incredible school that I cannot speak highly enough of. I had the honor of studying under Tracey Garcia of Colorado Springs, CO and Gina Caputo of Boulder, CO. Some of our guest teachers were the incredible Kathryn Budig of Aim True and Shiva Rea, an innovator in the evolution of Vinyasa Yoga. “Vinyasa” means to place intentionally and I believe a commitment to intentionality in both my teaching and living my life will lead to a life lived to the highest degree, on and off the mat. When you join me in class you will experience that all aspects of our practice and asanas are well-thought-out and are there for a reason!
I have completed training with Yoga for First Responders (YFFR). Yoga for First Responders has a mission of bringing yoga philosophy, through somatic and cognitive exercises, to practical applications for first responders around the country. I have been a firefighter's wife now for as long as I have been a wife; 21 years. I see and have experienced first hand the stresses, physical and emotional health problems that go hand-in-hand with the first responder profession. I know that all of these issues come home every morning with first responders and are dropped right in the middle of the family dynamic. These things are not easily dealt with. I had been practicing yoga for a year or so before I was able to convince my firefighter to come with me. Skeptical at first, it only took weeks for him to see that yoga was having a positive affect on him, not only in his psychical fitness level but more so in the way he was able to take a step back, breathe and handle stressful situations at work.
In one segment emergency personnel may witness more trauma, loss, death and destruction than the average citizen will see in a lifetime. It is estimated that 25 to 30 percent of firefighters and police officers have stress based physical health problems and 40 percent suffer from sleep disorders. Numbers are rising for Post Traumatic Stress among all emergency personnel; 18 percent in police officers, 10 to 37 percent in fire service. Yoga for First Responders provides vital emotional wellness and mental-resiliency training in academy settings, in-service training's, and community-based programs.
I have been a loyal student of David Corder of Perfect Fit Wellness Center in Peyton, CO and joined him on several yoga retreats to Blue Osa in Costa Rica.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Namaste',
Karin

Lindel Hart
Lindel Hart’s teaching and practice are greatly influenced by his study with many Iyengar teachers, but his approach to yoga often takes a decidedly personal spin. Merging the classic and the contemporary helps him keep his teaching fresh and insightful, balancing an emphasis on anatomical integrity with compassion, joy, enthusiasm and humor. Through his focused sequences of poses and individualized instruction, he conveys his knowledge and experience of yoga to beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
Lindel operated his own studio, Hart Yoga, in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, from 2009 to 2017, where he taught a wide variety of classes and workshops. He has served as the yoga instructor at Deerfield Academy since 2009, where he works with many athletic teams, offers classes to the entire school community, and teaches daily yoga classes each term to a group of students as an alternative to participating in sports.
His teaching credits include Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, the Nantucket Yoga Festival, the Martha’s Vineyard Yoga Festival and the Slow Living Summit in Brattleboro, VT, as well as studios throughout the northeast, the mid-Atlantic region and in New York City. He is a certified yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance, E-RTY 200) and is available for private instruction.
